To connect your email system to the Outbound Index with hardware fully supported by Dell and OS fully supported by RedHat:
- Order a Poweredge server from Dell (starting well under $500):
When placing your order with Dell, specify Redhat Enterprise Linux (about $749) as the operating system Dell will pre-install. (Prefer free Linux? Scroll down and contact one of the consultants listed below or click here for peer-supported do-it-yourself options.)
If you haven't used Linux before, don't worry - Dell's Redhat Enterprise Standard Edition provides a full year of Standard support (includes Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.), phone support with four hour response (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside North America) and a one-year subscription to Red Hat Network.
- Configure Sendmail on your new Dell server as a gateway. (Click here for step-by-step instructions or utilize Sendmail expert consultants listed below.)
- Download and install Milter-SIQ and Milter-Ahead from http://www.Milter.info. Follow the step by step instructions on the Milter.info site or utilize one of the Sendmail expert consultants listed below.
- Become a member of the Outbound Index at http://OutboundIndex.org/join.cfm and specify the IP address of your new server.
